Only Pay for Service History We Find
Not every BMW has digital dealer service records, so we check after you order, and you are only charged for Comprehensive Plus if records are found.
Search the BMW
Enter the rego and state, or the VIN. The next page shows whether Comprehensive Plus is available for that car.
We check the service records
Your card is authorised for the Comprehensive Plus price, not charged, and we look up the dealer service records straight after you order.
Only charged if records are found
Records found: we take the payment and build your report. None found: switch to another report at its normal price, or cancel and the hold is released.
Comprehensive Plus is paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A hold you do not act on is released automatically.
What the BMW Service History Shows
We also add up the number of service visits, the average time between services, the longest gap and the average kilometres per year, and flag any odometer reading that went backwards.
- 14 Mar 2026 84,210 kmScheduled service: engine oil and filter, brake fluid
- 02 Feb 2025 71,950 kmScheduled service: engine oil and filter, cabin filter
- 19 Jan 2024 59,300 kmRecall campaign work
Illustrative example. What we find depends on where and when the car was serviced.
Why Check a BMW's Service History?
Confirm it was maintained
See each dealer service visit with its date and workshop, so you know the BMW was looked after rather than taking the seller's word for it.
Back up the odometer
Odometer readings from every service build a timeline, and any reading lower than an earlier one is flagged.
Spot gaps in servicing
See the longest time between services and how long it has been since the last one.
Warranty and recall work
Warranty visits and recall campaign work recorded by dealers are listed with the rest of the history.
Negotiate with facts
A patchy or missing service history is a fair reason to ask for a lower price, or to walk away.
The full Carify report too
Comprehensive Plus includes everything in Comprehensive: the PPSR certificate, finance, write-off and stolen checks, valuation and recalls.
How Carify compares
The PPSR certificate is only the start. See what else you get, and where other reports charge you for history they can't find.

What our customers say
“Lucky we checked the car history before buying it saved us from buying written off car with various claims thank you for making the car check easy”
“I recently purchased a Toyota Camry which I was excited to buy. The vehicle I bought was 98355 km. I took the vehicle to my mechanic for service and he advised me that the car showed signs that it might have been rolled back as the steering wheel and upholstery were a bit worn. My mechanic said he used Carify when buying cars and advised me to purchase a report for my peace of mind. I'm glad I did as the Carify report records that the vehicle had 134000 km in 2020. I took the car back to the dealer and showed the report. The car dealer offered to pay the difference of $4000 but I was just happy to return the car and get my money back.”
“Helped me find out the car I was going to buy was currently stolen.”
BMW Service History FAQs
Please visit our FAQ page for a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions.
Enter the rego and state, or the VIN, in the search box above. For a BMW we cover, the next page offers Comprehensive Plus, and straight after you order we look up the services BMW dealers have recorded against that VIN. You don't need the car, the key or the seller's help.
Many BMWs list their services in iDrive, under the vehicle status menu, but you have to be sitting in the car to see it. The list only holds what workshops saved to that car, and workshops with diagnostic software can add entries to it. Our report shows the records BMW dealers hold for the VIN, so you can check before you inspect the car and compare the two.
Each visit shows the date, the odometer reading, the BMW workshop and the jobs done, in BMW's own words: "Vehicle check", "Engine oil", "Microfilter", "Brake fluid service", "Air filter element", "Spark plugs" and front or rear brakes. The oldest BMW records we have found go back to 2010.
BMW uses Condition Based Service: the car tracks the engine oil, brake fluid, spark plugs and filters and asks for each one when it is due, based on how it has been driven. So the gap between services varies from car to car. Our report works out the average and longest gap between services, and how long it has been since the last one.
Yes. M models such as the M2, M3, M4 and M5, and electric i models such as the i4, iX, iX1 and iX3, are covered along with the X1, X3, X5, 3 Series and the rest of the range.
You are not charged the Comprehensive Plus price. You can switch to another Carify report at its normal price, paid out of the same hold, or cancel and the hold is released.
